  Have you ever been stopped by Law Enforcement while driving and carrying a concealed firearm? How did it go? Did you inform him or her that you were carrying? How did they respond?

  pulled over once, informed the officer immediately I was carrying. he made me clear my weapon and place it on the back seat, which I complied with. I have found that as long as youre honest and upfront, and communicate what youre doing before you do, it goes VERY smoothly more often than not

  I rolled a stop sign a few years ago, Metro pulled me over. I informed him I was carrying, he asked where, I told him. He told me to be more careful and come to a complete stop next time time.

  There are only two reply's so far, but it sounds like each officer may handle stopping a concealed carry holder differently. I wonder, is this determined by personal officer style, or department policy?

  Typically it is officer discretion

  Have many metro friends who are officers most agree they like to know if you are armed, "license, registration and ccw card" always a GREAT idea. "Officer I am indeed armed at this time". Officers in Las Vegas are very aware that many citizens do carry in there vehicles. Please understand that officers are under STRESS with every stop, they and we are not enemies, they have to protect themselves and may over react (generally PO1's with little "under the gun time). MOST understand OUR CHOICE and respect it. If you have a major problem PLEASE file a formal complaint, this is how we show our support for our police and our community and get correct SOP's. sorry for the ramble but i believe strongly that we all need to support eachother.
