As an avid fan of firearms, I am always on the hunt for new stuff that I will actually personally use but just enough to be examined in a blog, research paper, online journal, or even at conversations at the bar.
The Rock River Arms PDS Carbine has a bolt carrier that is actuated by pistol. The spring can be found at the barrel. With this feature, a buffer tube is no longer needed and has actually has an ambidextrous forward H&K-like charging handles. Carbines are more sensible and efficient to use and the design emphasizes flexibility rather than vanity.
